About Me

I have always been interested in understanding how relationships work and have spent years learning about different therapeutic approaches that can support and sustain us in the face of life’s challenges.

Before specialising in sex and relationship therapy, I ran support groups for parents and young people, lectured, and worked on government-commissioned research projects into drug support services and doctor-patient interaction. In addition to this, I have experience of working in a hospice as a volunteer bereavement counsellor and in a high security prison dealing with trauma and addiction.

Having trained and previously worked at the internationally-renowned Tavistock Centre in London, a centre of excellence for psychotherapy and counselling for sex and relationship difficulties, I now work in the NHS Psychosexual service. And also, I run a private practice from clinics in Norwich, Cambridge and Saffron Walden.

Sex and relationship problems can affect anyone at any time; they do not distinguish class, ethnicity, religion, sexuality or physical ability. No matter who we are or where we come from, we all need to feel loved, heard and accepted. My aim is to help individuals and couples realise and fulfil their needs.

I am a registered member of the following bodies:

  • BSSM British Society for Sexual Medicine (BSSM)
  • cosrt College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT)
  • bacp British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
  • Tavistock Relationships Tavistock Alumnic British Society of Couple Psychotherapists and Counsellors (BSCPC)

I work professionally within their strict ethical guidelines, which include a code of confidentiality. I also have Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance, which used to be known as a CRB check.
